Welcome to MotoScotland

To our MotoScotland customers, suppliers, contacts and friends,

Donna & I would like to advise you that sadly MotoScotland will cease offering off road training in Inveraray from 31st January 2018.  This is due to an ever-changing range of unforeseen external factors that are beyond our control. These changes will significantly/detrimentally affect our future business here and subsequently the training courses/trail riding that we offer.

For those who know any of our team at MotoScotland, you will know that we are extremely devastated and saddened to make this announcement - after nearly 5 years of very successful trading.  It is a real loss for Inveraray/Argyll, off-road training/trail riding, motorcycling, tourism & employment in Scotland.

We thank you all very sincerely for your support and custom on our exciting journey - making MotoScotland what it has become to date. We have met and made some lovely friends/supporters through MotoScotland and are very thankful for this.  We have listed a few MotoScotland accolades below, something we are very proud of as we are forced to step away.

Since MotoScotland opened in 2013, MotoScotland has proudly achieved: -

  • Winner of the Scottish Encouraging Dynamic Growing Entrepreneurs Award 2014
  • A Scottish Parliament motion of support
  • Britain’s Best Off Road Motorcycle Training School” rated by Ride Magazine
  • Britain’s first and only off-road motorcycle centre to have its training officially recognised as “Advanced Rider Training” by Government, Major Insurers & Council Road Safety Department – improving public road safety
  • Britain’s first and only centre to have major insurers offering policy discounts to riders completing our training
  • Finalist for both Sports Business & Transformative Innovation Business of The Year 2016 & finalist for Innovation in Tourism category in the Highlands & Islands Tourism Awards 2017
  • 5* customer satisfaction rating on all online platforms (Facebook / Freeindex / TripAdvisor)
  • Thousands of happy customers who now have a wider bank of rider safety and control skills
  • MotoScotland has brought new and unique tourism business to local businesses / organisations, e.g. accommodation providers, catering businesses, retailers, tourist attractions, etc. This new /unique motorcycle tourism in Argyll has supported a region that is currently classified as “economically fragile
  • MotoScotland created 10 new jobs and helped support employment in other businesses who benefited from MotoScotland’s presence in the region

Again, thank you, we would not have achieved all this without your support/custom and fantastic reviews.

The future is currently yet unknown for Donna & me – whatever we end up doing, we sincerely hope that we will have the opportunity to be involved with you again. Meeting you, our customers, and seeing how you became even more brilliant, in all aspects, has been the best part of MotoScotland for us!

We fully hope you will continue to practice your off road skills and if you are looking for somewhere to learn, develop, practice your skills or just trail ride, we can wholeheartedly recommend the
Mick Extance Experience in North Wales. They offer off road training that is most akin to MotoScotland and our ethos (and are very nice folks).

As a result of the closure, we are selling the business assets which is an opportunity for customers, contacts and the like to purchase a range of items that could be of value to them. PLEASE

In the meantime, HEAD UP 😊 and safe riding folks. Wishing you all the best for now.

Clive & Donna and the team at MotoScotland
